SFSFL Week 7 Review: Olympic Club Stay Perfect, El Farolito Dominate First Division

SFSFL Week 7 Review

Week 7 of the San Francisco Soccer Football League brought a full 18-match slate across Beach Chalet and Crocker Amazon on Sunday. Here’s how it all went down.

Premier Division

Olympic Club made it seven wins from seven, cruising past Mexicali FC 5-1 at Beach Chalet to open up a commanding seven-point lead at the top of the table. No one has come close to slowing them down this season.

Behind them, the race for second is heating up. SFIAC held firm in the runner-up spot with a convincing 4-1 win over SF City FC at Crocker Amazon. SF Elite SC climbed to third after beating Lands End FC 4-2, while SF Hibernian FC pulled level on points with SF Glens SC at 12 apiece after thumping SF Vikings 4-1. Glens were held to a 2-2 draw by Club Marin. Down at the bottom, Inter SF edged SF Celtic 3-2 to pull away from the relegation cluster.

First Division

The headline number: Peninsula FC 22, NorCal Shockwaves FC 0. That is not a typo. Peninsula were ruthless at Crocker Amazon in the most lopsided result of the season.

At the top, El Farolito remain perfect at 7-0-0 after beating Club Atletico de San Francisco 5-0 to hold a five-point lead with a staggering 49 goals scored and just one conceded. Kope FC sit second after a 4-1 win over Berenice SC. Elsewhere, 7x7 C.D beat FC Jabronis Reserves 2-0, Inter SF Reserves topped Bluff City FC 3-1, and SF Glens SC U23 drew 2-2 with Persepolis SF.
